Maritima de Servicios S.R.L.
was established in 1990 as a private Argentine shipping company.
From the beginning, the company was involved in the sea transportation
of commodities between Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil, as well
as in the feeder services between the River Plate and the
up-river ports.
Shortly afterwards our activities were expanded covering a
wide range of activities related to the shipping business.
During 1993/94 an own regular shipping line serving the River
Plate and the south Brazilian ports was established offering
a door to door service.
in 2000 a semi-regular service between the Latin-American
ports was established by reaching cooperation agreements with
the participation of various international shipowners. Nowadays
our group is working on the acquisition of additional vessels
for being incorporated to the service allowing us to increase
our current tonnage capacity for this traffic.
During the last years, the company was also dedicated to the
carriages of all kind of commodities and cargos with our semi-regular
fleet of chartered vessels and our principals.
With our Shipping Agency Division we provide full shipping
and handling of cargo services at the Argentinian main ports.
Our Brokerage Division handles both, cargos and vessels positions,
concentrating mainly on our direct contacts with the principal
companies all over Latin America and Europe.
In 1997 the MS Forwarding Division was created to expand the
offer of our services throughout our professional structure
and a staff specialized to handle air, land and sea transport
and all other services related to transport, custom brokers
and logistics. With our international network of agents in
more than 50 countries worldwide, we cover the main cities
and ports of the world.
In 2000 we were appointed for the commercial and operational
management of a multipurpose vessel which was incorporated
to our regular traffic between Argentina and Brazil. Since
then, several shipowners, mainly from Latin America and Europe,
have entrusted us with the management of various multipurpose
vessels which have been operating in different trades all
over the world.
In 2002 the MS Trading Division was created with the purpose
of offering a wide range of Argentinian and Latin American
export products for the world markets and, at the same time,
covering our various local clients purchasing inquiries of
products. Furthermore we offer an international commerce consulting
service. |
